Course #1   -   10:00 AM Shotgun – GOLF FORMAT:  SHAMBLE Best Ball 1 of 4

A shamble is a type of golf tournament that combines elements of a scramble with elements of stroke play. Like in a scramble, all members of a team tee off and the best ball of the four tee shots is selected. All players move their balls to the spot of the best ball. Each player will then play from within 6” of that spot.  (Please keep the integrity of the shot.  If the ball is in the rough the next shot must be played from the rough.)  From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with all members of the team playing their own ball into the hole.  SUMMARY: select the best shot off the tee, move all balls to that spot, then play individual stroke play until each member of the group has holed out.

Tees:  All golfers will play from the White Tees.  Speed of Play is important.

Buy A Mulligan:  Each foursome may buy up to 3 mulligans.  Mulligans are available for purchase at the registration tent at a cost of 1 for $25 each or 3 for $60.

Putting Contest:  A putting contest will be held prior to the opening ceremonies.  Sink an 80-foot putt and receive a $50 gift certificate to the Pro Shop.

Hole #3 Par 3 Betting Hole  –  Put it Inside the Circle

  • Bet up to $100
  • Put approach shot inside the circle and win the amount of your wager

Hole #5 Longest Putt Made  

  • Longest putt made wins A TOUR EDGE PUTTER

Hole #9 Longest Drive Betting Hole  -  Beat the Pro

  • Bet up to $100
  • Out-drive The Pro and win the amount of your wager
  • The Pro will use their 3 Wood
  • Must keep drive in the fairway to win
  • You may use Pro’s drive if you bet and lose

Hole #12 Straightest Drive

  • Straightest Drive over 200 yards wins A TOUR EDGE DRIVER

Hole #16 Closest to the Hole

  • Closest to the pin wins A TOUR EDGE WEDGE
  • Hit a Hole In One and win A SET OF TOUR EDGE CLUBS

Hole #18 Beat the Pro Betting Hole – Test Your Skills Against Sergeant Giovanni Sciortino

  • Compete Against Veteran Sergeant Giovanni Sciortino – Two Term Duty in Iraq and current ILPGA Professional at Fresh Meadows Golf Course in Hillside, IL
  • Bet up to $100
  • Put your approach shot closer to the pin than Sergeant Giovanni Sciortino and win wager
  • Your approach shot must be on the green
